Norm used a plain board clamped to the Unifence as a sacrificial fence.

Although Norm says he used a stapler, it looked more like the BN200 brad nailer and not at all like the NS100 introduced in the next episode. It doesn't resemble any P-C stapler I've found.

The safety speech included video of a crosscut operation on the radial arm saw.
