Thanks to my friend, Chris Bennet, who found the 1582 picture for me.

I've been laboring under the misapprehension that Norm's jigsaw is the Bosch 1584 (left, above), particularly since I have one and it looks just like it.

Of course the one he used up until 1993 was an older version without the tool-less blade change system. When he replaced it (we first see it in Episode 512) with the one with the tool-less blade change system (orange insert in top knob) you could plainly see it labeled as a 1582DVS. I don't even know what a 1582 is. Well, now I do. I was sent a picture (right, above) of a 1582 a while back. Take a look. I defy you to point out any differences between the two.

I believe this to be second only to the Unisaw as the longest lived tool on the series.
