New Yankee Workshop Episode 1412

In this episode, building a deck chair, Norm used the following tools:

An infrequent no-new-tool episode.

It's probably just me, but I find amusing the frequent references to Russell Morash, the creator and director of the program. Most of the time it's just “the home of a friend,” or the like, but at the end of this episode Norm went out to two deck chairs—one, the prototype, the other, the one built on the show—in the yard outside of the shop and inserted a card with his name in a holder on the back of the chair. He looked at the name on the back of the other chair and said, “…I wonder who ‘Russ’ is?” Cracks me up.

The safety speech included video of an operation on the router table (finger slip).

Field trip was to the Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship, in port—couldn't tell where, but probably Boston, Massachusetts.

This episode was processed based on the full length original broadcast by PBS.
