New Yankee Workshop Episode 1705

In this episode, building a Federal-style game table, Norm used the following tools:

Items in bold represent the first appearance of that particular tool.

A lot of chisel work in this episode, plus hand cut dovetails!

In the past Norm's chisels have been basic anonymous bench chisels. Most of these in this episode were Robert Sorby Registered Chisels.

I'm really starting to notice stupid stuff. In the opening sequence of every episode I remember from the past, Norm has come out from and retreated to a dark (or at least only daylit) shop. Today the shop lights were clearly on, as it was quite bright inside.

The safety speech included video of an operation on the router table (finger slip).

Field trip to Stebbins House, Historic Deerfield, Massachusetts.

Project filmed 17 June 2004.

This episode was processed based on the original broadcast by PBS.
