New Yankee Workshop Episode 1511

In this episode, building a painted corner hutch, Norm used the following tools:

Items in bold represent the first appearance of that particular tool.

Although they look simple, cabinet projects can be quite complex and as a result the production seemed hurried with tight editing. Watching this in 2008 I recall having the same impression when I first saw it in 2003. The complexity can be inferred from the fact that there appeared to be two overnights in the production (production dates don't seem to be available for Season 15).

For the first time that I can recall, Norm's safety speech was not done over a canned file video—it was done over the actual task he was working on which prompted the speech. I missed the “…wear these, tap, tap, safety glasses.” This happened again in Episode 1513.

Field trip was to L & E Reid III Antiques & Fine Wines, Nantucket, Massachusetts.

This episode was processed based on the full length original broadcast by PBS.
