Oak Insert Insert

Nope, that's not too many inserts. This table saw insert has a wooden insert that can be replaced easily and cheaply by shop built replacements, without having to spend money on a whole new insert. Slick idea. A little pricy, but considering that you'd probably never have to replace the main body, probably a bargain. Norm uses it a lot.

Note: If you are concerned that the oak insert insert is getting short shrift in the Norm's Tools Hall of Fame (135 appearances in the 15 seasons since it appeared), please see my note on that page that explains it all.

Unfortunately for those looking for this insert, I've recently learned that they are no longer being produced and the manufacturer has the business for sale. Apparently, the sale has been completed. The old site and all references to the insert is gone. Here it is if you want to verify: wooddynamics.com

I wound up building my own. I wrote an article about it which can be seen at WoodCentral if you're interested.
