Dado Blade

Norm has used a couple of different types of blades with which to make dados. There is the conventional stacked dado set, two examples of which are shown above, and a wobble dado, three of which are shown below. The two at the left are a single blade mounted on a pair of angled washers. The one on the right is a refinement with two blades instead of one. Although all wobble type blades make a dado with a slightly rounded bottom, those made with the two bladed version are less so.

Norm used a wobble dado mostly in the earlier seasons, transitioning to a stacked set probably beginning in Season 3. Generally, when using a stacked dado set, he refers to it as such. With the exceptions of the Freud SD608 described here, and the Delta 35-7670 described here, it is impossible to know which brand or which model of any were used, so these sample pictures will have to suffice as examples for viewer understanding.

While there are more than enough appearances for the Hall of Fame, I haven't decided if this is the sort of item I'm attempting to memorialize there.
