Freud's Dial-a-Width Dado is the best of both worlds—a dado set that can be adjusted on the arbor without shims, and a true, flat bottom cutting dado set.
In the episode in which it first appeared, Norm gave a general review on how to adjust it and also made a point of having unplugged the saw to install/adjust it.
It will probably be the choice whenever dadoes are cut in subsequent episodes, but I won't speculate—in any event, it'll be impossible to know, so I won't document any further instances.
