Carving Chisels

Norm will be the first to tell you he's not a wood carver. In fact, it took several seasons before he stuck his toe in that water. However, that doesn't meant he hasn't done some. His few carvings have ranged from simple lamb's tongues to a complex shell. There's no real assurance I could identify the particular chisels he uses—either brand, or in the case of gouges, the sweep and size—so let's just say he uses some and they look something like these.

Thanks to my friend Lee Grindinger (FurnitureCarver.com) for the picture of his chisels.

Appearances: Episodes Any in which carving is done.
